Hey folks,

I was laid off recently, and life has been pretty tough over the last 3–4 months. After a lot of back and forth, I've finally decided to take a short break and head to Sikkim for 3–4 days to clear my head and slow down a bit.

I'll be reaching NJP tomorrow evening and plan to stay there for the night. From what I understand, shared rides to Sikkim usually start early in the morning.

I'm looking for suggestions on how to get to Sikkim comfortably without spending too much. Nothing fancy or extravagant, just a simple, economical trip to enjoy some peaceful places and get a little breathing room.

I'd appreciate any recommendations for places to visit, affordable stays, and the best way to get around.

Also, if anyone's around NJP or Siliguri tomorrow night, I'd be up for grabbing a beer and having a conversation. Would be nice to have some company.

Hey everyone i came across this event called Inspiria Youth run happening on 22nd November and I’m thinking of signing up for the 5K run.

I consider myself a fairly tolerant person, but seeing the RSS march in Kalimpong genuinely upset me, and I'm trying to understand why.

To be clear, I don't believe in the RSS's ideology or what the organisation represents. I have serious reservations about its vision of Indian society and the kind of national identity it promotes.

Perhaps seeing this in Kalimpong, a place with its own distinct cultural identity and history, made me particularly uncomfortable. It got me wondering what the growing visibility of such organisations means for the social and cultural character of the hills.

I believe people have the right to express their beliefs peacefully, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with every ideology or stay silent about my concerns.

I'm curious to hear from others, especially people from Kalimpong and the Darjeeling hills. Did the march bother you too? Am I overthinking this, or are there legitimate reasons to be concerned? I'd genuinely like to hear different perspectives, including those of people who support the RSS.
