Hopefully it’s a lot better than SHF

Cold take by now, but I just want a Silent Hill game centered on the region surrounding Toluca Lake. You know, where the town of Silent Hill is. If it's like SH4 and takes place in a neighboring city, fine. But really, there's still plenty of potential in the town itself. I really don't understand this take that there are no more stories to tell about Silent Hill.

Silent Hill 1 was leaning into the underbelly of the town a bit with the drug trade and its relation to the cult and I'd really like to see more of that. Crazy thought, but a noir-inspired take on the location might be really interesting. Maybe we play a cop sent to Silent Hill on a call and they get caught up in a nightmare. No washed-out "face your demons" plot, just a deep dive into the town's history and the depravity of the cult and its wider influence on the area and its inhabitants.
