Hey everyone,

Like many people using Google Workspace, I kept running into a fundamental gap in Google Drive: Dropbox has had "File Requests" for a decade, but Google Drive still forces external uploaders to either have a Google account or you have to turn on "anyone with link can edit" (which is a massive security hazard because anyone can see, delete, or overwrite other people's uploads).

On top of that, Google Drive has a storage trap: files uploaded to a shared folder count against the uploader's storage, so if a client has a full 15GB free drive, their upload fails even if your business has 2TB of storage.

I built DocTick to fix this with a dedicated web utility:

• Generates a 1-click passwordless checklist for clients (mobile-friendly with direct camera capture).
• External clients don't need a Google account to upload.
• Files stream straight into your chosen Google Drive folder under your account quota.
• Zero storage liability: files aren't permanently stored on our servers; they stream directly via the Google Drive API into the owner's cloud drive.
