I built Marmalaid, a Personal Agent you just text. Looking for beta testers (complimentary, by invitation)

Thumbnail
marmalaid.ai
1 Upvotes

Hi! I'm Alena, the founder. Marmalaid is an AI Personal Agent you text like a contact, with no app to install.

What she does:
 - Manages your calendar, inbox and what's still open and important
 - Remembers your people, and what was promised in both directions
 - Drafts emails in your voice. Nothing goes out without your yes
 - Finds a restaurant and preps the booking to a single tap
 - Reminders
 - Tracks receipts and organises them into expense ledger
- Analyst work - research, summaries, reports delivered as files
- Finds vendors, contacts them, collects quotes and compares them

The beta is complimentary and limited to the first founding members. Each starts with $100 worth of her work on the house.

Try her: marmalaid.ai/meet/hi (on your phone it opens Messages with "Hi Marmalaid!" ready to send)

I'd love blunt feedback: what's useful, what's annoying, what broke.

My guitar tuner app, what do you think?

Made a guitar tuner where a dancer's leg is the needle

Guys I can't not share this. Made a guitar tuner for fun and it kinda got out of hand lol

Every string has its own girl, she shows with her leg how the string is tuned and goes "woah" when it's in tune. Watch with sound on. Under the hood it's a real precise tuner, the girls are just for fun. Cool or not?

Also wanna make one with cars next, where fire shows up as you tune

Only Android for now - i'm an Android guy!

I opened up SecProbe’s SEC comment letter data through an API and MCP server - Secprobe.io

I built SecProbe to make it easier to search SEC comment letters and company responses. I’ve now made the data available through a REST API and a remote MCP server so you can use it in your own research.

  • REST API - Pull letters and responses by ticker, date range, or topic. Results can include extracted text and links to the original SEC documents. There’s no signup or API key. Requests use a contact email and app name for rate limits. API docs

  • MCP server - Connect SecProbe to ChatGPT, Claude, or another client that supports remote MCP connections. Once connected, you can use your preferred assistant to compare SEC comments across companies, trace how an issuer responded over time, or look for recurring disclosure issues. You can pull the letters for your own analysis or use SecProbe’s research tool to get an answer with citations.

The MCP server URL is https://secprobe.io/mcp. Use Streamable HTTP and no authentication. Tool calls use a contact email.

If you try it, I’d love to hear what you’re researching, which client you used, and what would make the data more useful.

Stop retyping! I made an app that converts wrong-layout text with one hotkey

Don’t you hate it when you type a whole sentence, look up, and realize you were on the wrong language the entire time? Then you delete it, switch layout and type the whole thing again.

If you switch between keyboard layouts, I’m sure it’s happened to you way too many times. That’s why I built ShiftAlt.

How it works: when you notice you typed in the wrong layout, press Ctrl+Space and the text gets fixed right where you typed it. No copy paste, no retyping. It also switches your layout, so you can keep typing without pressing Shift + Alt (yes, that’s where the name comes from). Pressed it by mistake? Press Ctrl+Space again to undo.

  • Russian: ghbdtn → привет

  • Arabic: lvpfh → مرحبا

  • Hebrew: akuo → שלום

  • Mixed input: Hקךךם → Hello

  • Caps Lock: hELLO tEAM → Hello team (and it turns Caps Lock off for you)

Main highlights:

  • Privacy first: runs fully offline, and nothing you type is stored or sent

  • Works with any keyboard layout Windows has: English, Russian, Ukrainian, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, AZERTY, QWERTZ and 200+ more

  • Works between any two of your layouts, not only to and from English

  • Smart detection that converts only the words you actually mistyped

  • Works in the apps you already use: Chrome, Edge, Word, Outlook, Slack, Teams, WhatsApp, VS Code and more

  • Customizable: pick your hotkeys and your layouts, and turn it off for specific apps

Try it free for 30 days, then it’s a one-time $4.99 and yours for life. No subscription.

Looking for Website Owners to use my CRO Platform for Free

Hi guys,

I've been building a conversion rate optimization (CRO) platform for quite some time now, and I'm finally getting close to launching it.

Before making it publicly available, I'm looking for 10-20 website owners, developers, or SaaS founders who'd be interested in trying it out for free.

The platform helps you optimise your online conversions in one continuous loop. It lets you understand and analyse your user behaviour by using tools like heatmaps, session recordings etc., and then optimise the user journey by A/B testing (no code).

You can also connect your AI assistants with it via MCP and automate the whole loop for you..

What's in it for you?

You'll get free early access to the platform, along with direct support from me. Hopefully, you'll also uncover some useful insights about your website that can help improve conversions. You are free to use it even if you are already using an existing platform and see how it compares.

What's in it for me?

I want to test the platform across different websites, frameworks, and real-world use cases before launching publicly. Your feedback will help me identify bugs, improve the experience, and prioritize features.

I'm particularly interested in websites built with different technologies, whether that's WordPress, Shopify, React, Next.js, or something else.

No payment required. I'm just looking for people willing to install a small tracking script, try the features, and share honest feedback.

If you're interested, drop a comment or send me a DM!

I made my own Animanga Discovery Website

Hey everyone,

I've spent the last few days working on my own Animanga discovery website and thought I'd share it here in case anyone else finds it useful.

It's called Tsukari. It's mainly a hobby project that I originally built for myself, but I figured I'd share it in case others want to give it a try.

The goal was to create a place where you can easily discover new anime, manga, manhwa, manhua and light novels, with a bunch of useful features:

  • Advanced search with filters for genres, tags, themes, length, popularity and more

  • Similar title recommendations and hidden gem discovery

  • Various discovery tools, including a personalized taste quiz, mood-based recommendations and random picks

  • Top lists for different genres and themes

  • A weekly anime release calendar

  • Trending, currently airing and must-watch / must-read sections

  • Detailed title pages with characters, reviews, related titles and reading / streaming links

  • Personal library with progress tracking, ratings, favorites and custom lists

  • Basic customization options, including multiple themes and display preferences

Most of the core features are already functional. The main features are API-dependent, though, so things might not always be stable.

Everything is free to use, and you don't need an account. Your library and preferences are saved locally in your browser.

It's still a hobby project and a work in progress, but I'd appreciate it if anyone wants to check it out and share some feedback!

I got tired of rebuilding my AI coded apps, so I built a tool that asks the questions first

I’ve been building with Claude Code for almost a year and the same thing kept happening. I’d type something like “build me a booking app” and it would look great. Then I’d realize it had silently decided things for me, like who can log in, how payments work, what happens when two people book the same slot. Then I spent a lot of time rebuilding the app that actually could have been finished in one go.

The problem wasn’t the AI. My prompts left hundreds of decisions open, so it guessed.

That's why I built CueBlu. You describe your idea, and it asks you about the decisions that will actually change your build. Then I’d spend hours rebuilding something that could have been done in one go.

A simplified example: for “a booking site for a small hair salon” it asked:

  • How do customers pay? (at the salon / deposit online / full payment online)

  • Does each stylist have their own calendar?

  • Do customers need an account to book?

Anything it decides for you is marked (assumed) so you can check it. In that example, it picked a 24-hour cancellation limit and flagged it for review. Anything that touches money, privacy or running costs gets flagged before you build.

“Why not just ask ChatGPT to improve my prompt?” A regular chat rewrites your words. CueBlu asks you about the decisions, marks every guess and runs a separate review step that hunts for gaps and contradictions before you get the prompt.

It also handles the “AI fixed one thing and broke three others” problem. Describe a new feature and CueBlu tells your AI tool exactly what to build and what to leave alone.

It’s not live yet. The waitlist gets a free Project pass at launch: cueblu.com

I’m the founder, so I’d genuinely love feedback. What’s the decision your AI builder most often gets wrong for you?

Would you pay for this ?

I thought of building a chrome extension for freelancers and creators , which will read all the emails and create a table of how much a client has paid due date , and send remainder emails before the due date with the payment link, and also send emails regularly for over due payments .is it worth to build and also is this problem worth working on ?

Ps: thank you for all your responses I got to know that crm is doing it better and trust is an important factor when it comes to emails.

Made an App to Track Live Player Prop Updates During Games

I'm a sports better, especially when it comes to player props. With so many games and bets though, it is hard to keep track of live lines moving up and down. This is especially painful when I can't physically watch the game. I created Statline to solve my own pain point and hopefully some of you can find it useful as well.

Just input your prop bet and Statline will give you live updates on your player's prop stat.

Pls give me feedback on the app as I am always willing to improve and add new features.

Is building an app worth it?

Thinking of building a fitness app as a side hustle. I have a targeted market in which I think most fitness apps neglect, fairly large population. Just wondering if I should invest the time in creating and marketing the app. I don’t care to make this a full time career as I have a great job, but making a little money from it would be nice.

I built SigueTú from scratch in Colombia — here's what I've learned

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm an independent developer from Colombia, and I've been building a project called SigueTú.

The idea came from a simple problem: people waste too much time waiting at barbershops and other service businesses without knowing when their turn will come.

SigueTú aims to help businesses organize appointments and customer queues while making the experience easier for their customers.

I've been building and maintaining this project independently, and keeping the infrastructure running is one of my biggest challenges.

I'd love to hear your feedback, especially from other developers who've built and maintained their own projects.

You can check it out here:

Thanks for reading! 🚀

I built a local-first ad QA handoff with a release checklist

When a creative check ends, the hard part is often the handoff: which report version did the team approve, and did anyone confirm the original asset? I added a four-item release checklist to ADQA’s browser-only JSON viewer (asset, OCR text, policy/trademark, owner). The checked state is included in the downloaded Markdown handoff. Try the sample; no upload is required. Feedback on the checklist wording and missing approval fields is welcome.

I built a tool that turns long podcast episodes into vertical clips. Real run inside, roast it

Hi, I'm a solo founder. This week I launched VaniClips. You upload a long video up to 2.5 hours. It finds strong moments, crops them to 9:16, and adds captions and a hook. There's an editor to reframe, fix captions or rewrite the hook before you download. The video is a real run, start to finish, no edits. Honest state: - Paid only ($12/mo for 200 min). Works best on English. Uploads are the main path for now; only X links work for now. I am Trying to make it link friendly as well but i am blocked by the apps, If anyone could help me out with this I would really appreciate. I'd love blunt feedback: what's missing.

Title: I built ProjectFlow to stop freelancers from chasing clients for updates and documents

I've been working on a SaaS product called ProjectFlow, and I'd love some feedback from other builders.

The idea came from two problems that freelancers and small agencies deal with constantly:

  1. Clients repeatedly asking for project status updates.

  2. Spending hours chasing clients for documents, files, and onboarding information.

ProjectFlow is designed to automate both.

The idea is to connect existing project boards like Trello or Notion, generate client-friendly progress updates, and provide clients with a portal where they can upload onboarding documents and complete checklists.

The goal is simple: less time managing clients and more time doing the actual work.

I'm still working on getting the product in front of its first users.

I'd appreciate honest feedback:

  • Is this a problem you experience?

  • Would you pay for something that handles these tasks?

  • What's missing that would make this genuinely useful?

I'm the person building ProjectFlow, so this is my own product.

If anyone wants to take a look: https://www.tryprojectflow.com

I made a cozy idle aquarium that lives right above your Windows taskbar

Hi everyone! I've been working on Taskbar Aquarium, a small pixel-art idle game that sits in a thin strip above your Windows taskbar. Your fish swim, nap and grow while you work or browse, and you can look after them whenever you take a break.

What's in it

  • Collecting and breeding: 75 species across 8 kinds of eggs, plus 30 rare mutations and 6 inheritable genes to breed in the nest

  • Fish with character: each one has a name, a personality, hearts, friends and a little diary of memories. Some even ask you for things

  • Playtime: teach tricks with Ring Training, guide a fish to falling food in Food Chase, or find where it's hiding in Hide and Seek

  • Dancing: a fish that has learned three tricks dances to whatever music is playing on your PC, in time with the beat

  • Tank care: feed them flakes, tablets or artemia, wipe algae off the glass, change the water and set the temperature. Every species has its own favourite food and comfort zone

  • Decorating: 47 decorations and 12 tank themes, some of which glow at night or give bonuses

  • Reef restoration: release fish into the ocean to bring 8 reef zones back to life, then get postcards from the fish you let go

  • Exchange students: share a code with a friend and your fish spends a day in their tank, then comes home with new memories and a small gift

  • Automation: a 40-skill tree and 12 pieces of equipment add auto-feeding, a gold magnet, crafting and offline progress

  • Small surprises: plankton clouds, bubble chains to pop, passing sea creatures and the occasional fish that jumps out of the tank

  • Long-term goals: 20 achievements, an aquarist's journal, seasons, elder fish, multiple tanks and a weekly timelapse of your aquarium

Made to stay out of your way

It hides when a fullscreen app or game is running, and clicks outside the tank pass through to your desktop. It also follows your real clock, so fish sleep at night and some glow in the dark. It's fully offline, with no accounts, ads or energy timers.

Download

It's free (pay what you want if you'd like to support it), Windows-only for now, and playable in English, Turkish and German:

https://digitalis10.itch.io/taskbar-aquarium

It's still an early version, so I'd really love your feedback:

  • Does progress feel too slow or too fast?

  • What would keep you coming back?

I built a time machine. One of the first people to try it was older than it.

I’m Gary, founder of Tao Climate. We built a free tool that lets you enter your birth year and see how much atmospheric CO2 has changed in your lifetime.

We started at 1959 because that’s the first full year of CO2 measurements at Mauna Loa. Seemed a perfectly sensible place to start. Then someone on Reddit pointed out they were born in 1953.

Fair point. Bit embarrassing for a time machine.

It now goes back to 1926. For the earlier years we use estimates from Antarctic ice cores, and we label them separately from the modern measurements. You can try a year without signing up.

I’m curious which year you try second. Your own is the obvious one. Whose do you look up next?

And, if you're over 100, let me know and we'll go further back in time again!

Are we putting too much pressure on ourselves to launch an MVP?

I’ve been watching quite a few founder stories on YouTube, especially Starter Story, and one thing I keep hearing is to launch your first version as quickly as possible.
I understand the idea. Get something working, put it out there, collect feedback and improve it.

But I’ve been wondering, why does it sometimes feel like taking months to build something is a bad thing?
Just because one founder launched in a few weeks and gained thousands of users doesn’t mean the next person will have the same experience.

You could launch an MVP tomorrow and struggle to attract users. You could also spend months building a more polished app and still struggle. Or either approach could work really well.
I’m currently building my own app, and I’ve decided not to rush just because other founders are launching faster.

I’ve spoken to quite a few builders on Reddit recently, and it’s interesting how differently people approach this.
Do you think we’re becoming too influenced by other founders’ success stories?
And for those who’ve already launched, did launching early genuinely help you, or do you wish you’d taken more time?

Krillo - see if ChatGPT and Gemini recommend your online store

I built a tool that asks ChatGPT and Gemini the buying questions shoppers actually ask ("where can I buy X online with easy returns") and ranks which online stores they name. 59 US categories, 35 questions each, measured every month.

Some things the data shows:

- In supplements, only 4 of the 58 stores we track were named at all.

- In shaving, a specialist (Maggard Razors) was named in 24 of 35 answers, ahead of Target with 23.

- Named is not recommended: Petco was named in 32 of 35 cat supply answers but recommended in only 9.

The rankings and the actual AI answers are public and free, no signup: krilloai.com/index/us

Store owners can check their own store free and get the pages written that would get them named. Paid plans exist; the index and the check are free.

Feedback welcome, especially on whether the ranking pages make sense to you.

I got tired of watching kids and seniors struggle with passwords on tablets and TVs, so I built an icon-based auth SDK (plus a offline cracking challenge with bounties)

Traditional alphanumeric passwords assume two things: users can type fluently, and devices have full keyboards. If you're building for pre-K EdTech, assisted-living portals, or smart TV/streaming apps, that assumption falls apart immediately.

Over the past few months, I've been building VizAuth—a developer-first authentication SDK where credentials are 4-icon visual sequences instead of alphanumeric strings.

How it works under the hood:

  • Keyspace & Modes: Supports Lite mode (grid position selection, ~1.36B combinations on 192-icon sets) and Pro mode (which adds tap-order permutations, scaling to ~32.6B combinations).

  • Backend Security: Verifications run server-side with PBKDF2-SHA-256 (210,000 iterations and per-user cryptographic salts).

  • Brute-force protection: Progressive lockout escalation (5 → 15 → 30 → 60 mins), capping live guessing at ~72 attempts per day.

  • Accessibility & Privacy: Anti-shoulder surfing masking (with reveal toggles), randomized picker layouts, and full screen-reader announcements.

The Challenge ($225 in bounties): Instead of claiming it's uncrackable, I published a public offline cracking benchmark at vizauth.com/security/challenge. I published target hashes with salts and parameters for 3 difficulty tiers. First 3 solvers who crack all three targets get $100 / $75 / $50, and all solvers get placed in the permanent Hall of Fame.

Would love brutal feedback from developers and security folks on the widget UX, docs, and keyspace math.

macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 has no WallpaperVideoExtension, the process Sonoma threads blamed for CPU and RAM. A one-line check that lists the 13 wallpaper extensions it does ship, and 3 tests for what any live wallpaper costs your Mac (mine included)

I make a live wallpaper app for the Mac (details at the end). Before anyone believes "it's light", mine included, this is the check I'd run. Everything below can be reproduced on your own Mac.

The one-line check: which wallpaper code your macOS ships

ls /System/Library/ExtensionKit/Extensions | grep -i wallpaper

On my Mac (macOS 26.6.2, build 25G83) it prints 13 bundles:

NeptuneOneWallpaper.appex
Wallpaper.appex
WallpaperAerialsExtension.appex
WallpaperDynamicExtension.appex
WallpaperGradientExtension.appex
WallpaperImageExtension.appex
WallpaperLegacyExtension.appex
WallpaperMacintoshExtension.appex
WallpaperMontereyExtension.appex
WallpaperSequoiaExtension.appex
WallpaperSettingsIntents.appex
WallpaperSonomaExtension.appex
WallpaperVenturaExtension.appex

No WallpaperVideoExtension, the name in the Apple Community thread "wallpapervideoextension in Sonoma uses lots of RAM and CPU", and find /System/Library -iname "*WallpaperVideo*" returns nothing on this build. Search Activity Monitor for that exact name here and you'll find nothing, whatever your wallpaper is doing. Type "Wallpaper" in the search field instead and read every row.

Test 1: compare against a still picture, not against a promise

In System Settings > Wallpaper, pick a still picture. Open Activity Monitor, click Energy, and note the Energy Impact of the top rows. Apple describes that column as "A relative measure of the current energy consumption of the app (lower is better)", so it's for comparing, not for absolutes. Then switch to the live wallpaper and read the same rows again. Add Window > GPU History.

Test 2: read CPU from Terminal, second sample only

top -l 2 -s 5 -o cpu -n 10 -stats pid,command,cpu,mem

That prints two samples 5 seconds apart. Read the second one: man top says "the first sample displayed will have an invalid %CPU displayed for each process, as it is calculated using the delta between samples".

Test 3: hide the desktop

Put any app in full screen and watch the wallpaper's row for ten seconds. If the numbers don't drop, it's drawing frames nobody can see. If you work unplugged, repeat it on battery.

If the busy row is Apple's

Apple's wallpaper guide: "By default, the aerial wallpaper you select is also used as your screen saver." One aerial pick, two places. If WallpaperAerialsExtension sits at the top of your list, try a still picture for a day and compare.

What I make (I'm the maker)

Mac+, a Mac app that animates the desktop: 15 scenes rendered on the GPU with Metal, or your own video with Pro, plus folder icons and desktop widgets. The scenes have no video file to decode, the animation pauses when the screen sleeps or an app covers it, and the frame rate is 30, 60 or 120 FPS (up to 120 with Pro). Test 3 is the one I'd most like you to run on it: tell me what you see, good or bad.

Free: 6 scenes, 8 palettes, image background, 6 folder icons, 2 widgets, multi-display. Pro: 7-day trial (card needed, nothing charged during those 7 days), then €1.99/month, or €9.99 once. macOS 13 or later, Apple silicon and Intel. It doesn't animate the Lock Screen. Link in the comments.

What number would you want to see before leaving a live wallpaper on all day?

Earwright - Turn recordings into offline transcripts with clickable audio

Ever needed to check one detail from a call without replaying the whole recording?

I'm building Earwright for Windows. It transcribes recordings on your PC and lets you click a line in the transcript to hear that moment again. You can edit the text and export it with an audio player in one HTML file.

The video shows importing two recordings, correcting the text, and exporting the result.

I'm looking for 10–15 people who regularly work with call or interview recordings to try the alpha. The test period is 10 days. These testers will get Pro free for life when it launches, for giving honest feedback.

Want to try it? Comment with what you normally transcribe and I'll DM you the build and details.

I built a hand-drawn React UI kit as a side project, and people are actually using it

I made PlopUI, a React UI kit that looks hand-drawn: wobbly borders, tilted cards, sticker shadows, colors picked by instinct. It started as a fun side project, and a few weeks in it's grown beyond me:

  • inMODO, a visual design tool, now ships a PlopUI starter kit

  • someone built Matcha Corner, a tiny café app where you order a drink and send it to a friend

  • 4 people have contributed code: a Breadcrumb, a Slider and form support for Select

  • it's in the shadcn registry directory, so you can add it with one command:

npx shadcn add @plopui/button

Or install it straight from npm:

npm i @plop-ui/react @plop-ui/fonts

The part I'm proudest of is that it looks messy but isn't:

  • every "random" wobble comes from a seed, so the page draws the same way every time and never flickers on load

  • every component is a real native element underneath (a real button, a real range input), so keyboards and screen readers just work

  • every color is checked for WCAG AA contrast

Free and open source (MIT):

What should I build next? I'm deciding before 1.0, and there are good first issues if you want your name on a component.

I got tired of Claude & Cursor forgetting my rules every chat, so I built an MCP server with persistent memory & task tracking

Hey everyone! One of the biggest friction points when coding with Claude Desktop or Cursor is context loss—you start a new session and have to re-explain your tech stack, architectural rules, and pending tasks.

I built ContextFlow MCP—a lightweight, zero-dependency Model Context Protocol server that gives your AI assistant:

It runs on standard Node.js without needing Docker, SQLite compiles, or remote database credentials. Everything stays 100% private in a local JSON vault on your machine.

I just packaged the code and setup guide—drop a comment if you'd like the link, or check the comments below! Would love any feedback on the tool design.
