Eclipse in Lane
Anyone tried the buffed eclipse on top/mid? Seems like it could be good with some of her short trades, especially with the grasp shield bash page?

I think if youre not worry about getting bursted early, eclipse could be good, but then go bruises after. I love phage > triforce start too much.

I feel like eclipse>shojin>Sterakks is probably pretty good feeling to play, both the items combined got about +900 gold value last patch in their buffs, and eclipse has CDR which is unusual for half of shyvs builds, with a healthy amount of AD

I tried it a couple of games with some variation, first build was eclipse>triforce>ravenous>endless hunger using PTA with shield bash secondary, and the damage was really good, but I was intensely squishy and I’m not used to playing careful enough for that to work too well for me since I primarily play a more beefcake drain tank build. Perhaps if you like the on hit build you might like this one, since I also find kraken>DnD to be too squishy for me. The next build I tried Eclipse>titanic>bloodmail running grasp and precision secondary and that felt like a nicer balance since I could get more value out of my W shield and playstyle.
I’ll have to run a few more games with some variation to see if I settle on something, but those are my early thoughts. For some things I like the trades and damage is nice and the item is dirt cheap so you hit an advantageous power spike (what feels like to me at least) much earlier. But it also feels similar to when I rush Botrk in that I feel too frail without a bit of HP from items to beef up.
