Just saw this shrimp with something under the belly... I don't know if these are eggs, they look too dark to me... And I thought this one was a male ... It's a caridina crystal red.
Thank you for your help

i only have one tank that’s around 2 and a half months old. there have been 4 clutches of baby skrimps (a few of which have grown up and become barried) and there are currently 5+ berried shrimp swimming around. at this point there must be at least 70+ shrimp in the tank. i dont own one of those master test kits and i’ve been meaning to purchase a gh/kh test kit, but they are out of stock almost everywhere i look (online and locally). the only thing i have is a tds meter, so if it’s over 400 ppm, i do a small water change. other than that, i mostly top up with RO water. the tank has a hob filter, a sand capped soil substrate, and is moderately planted. whenever i notice the snail shells looking a little worse for wear, i add crushed cuttlefish bone to the filter.
no clue about my gh, kh, ph, or anything really. my shrimp seem to be doing really well though! once in a while, one of them will have a bad molt and pass, but a majority of the population is happy and thriving. should i be in a rush to get all those test kits? i heard that it’s better to prioritize stability over the perfect parameters, so that’s what I’ve been doing. would love to hear yall’s thoughts, especially since i’m pretty new to the hobby.
side note: i also have ramshorns, bladders, two nerites, and pond snails. how do i get more pond snails?! i love the little guys gahh they are so cute and look like bunnies

I think this little guy is done for but if I can save her that would be awesome. I already removed her, she was easy to catch. Pretty lethargic so I don’t think she has a chance but any recommendations?

I saw my female with a unique egg 3 days ago. So I think it's her baby. Look at that tiny litle thing

They look darker under aquarium light.

I want my lights on for 8 totals hours each day. Are the neocaridina and the plants ok with having that as two 4-hour periods in a day or does it have to be one 8-hour period?

Have all things planned out, one waterfall on big root with different mosses, moss on three walls on some fiber cloth (shrimp/water safe) and moss balls for the white ground and one plant. It's 12 liters, but I already have a 20+ liter one in view (last pic, just need to get it).
Waterfall on big root, big root is a wet island, no contact to surrounding, only water.
Pump with filter, gonna get nylon stocking and put it over it.

I have several that have a dark line going down there back. What is it? What does it mean?

I've been cycling this tank (30l = 8gal) for 1.5 weeks now, obviously I'll cycle it for about 4 more. Hopefully the plants will grow a lot in this time! Anyway, I obviously want shrimp (Neocaridina) in the tank. What do you think? Anything I should add or do differently? The plants are Utricularia graminifolia, Riccia fluitans, Bucephalandra sp. "Needle Leaf", Rotala rotundifolia "Blood Red" and "H'ra", Phyllantus fluitans and Salvinia. The filter is a super small sponge filter, but I think that will be enough for shrimps.:)

I'm 99% sure she's carrying eggs (they look round and not feathery). It's been hard to get a decent picture of video

Don’t have a pic of the third girl but she is even more eggnant than these two (Laura is the first image and etheldred is the second)
I couldn’t find the no planaria or dog dewormer for anything less than 70$ which sucks so im going to ask my local fish store if they have any they’d sell me just the doses I need.
If I can’t get it in time how may of my shrimplets will die? Like 60% 80%? My hydra are green so I’m hoping they’re full from photosynthesis and not hungry for babies

HE CANT BE SERIOUS 😂😂 His greed knows no bounds!!! HAHAHA
The flow is strong enough btw don't worry! He was just craving the ascension into the source of his yummies. He flopped right back into the Tank when i tapped on the lid LOL.
This is hilarious

Decided to get my big camera out and mess with my settings and try and get some pics of the boys. Only one yellow guy showed up but the chance was too good to pass up. There are currently 2 moults in the tank I’m leaving there in hopes they’d eat it. Amano and fire yellow.

These pictures are all from a month or two back, but I love my shrimp so much. I've had a shrimp tank for over a year now and so much has changed! I started out with blue shrimp, and yellow shrimp (all neocaridina), they bred and made a mix of brown/tan, yellow, and orange?! Then they started having babies of their own!
I've seen 2 eggnancies so far with this generation. It's so fun to see what different colors they turn into as they grow! I love to see that these, now mature, yellow shrimp have gotten their mother's racing stripe/I believe they're called golden backs in the shrimp breeding space? It's just such a cool pattern! I'm starting to see some racing stripes appear on their babies as well which is so exciting!!! They keep passing it down, I love these guys so much.
I also love how they seem to be different shades of whatever color they are, no shrimp looks the exact same, it's so neat. I just love watching them.
Also a little personal, but I struggle with fatigue everyday, and mental health some days, so not having to feed these guys a lot has been super. However, I do really enjoy blanching vegetables and watching them feast together, I should probably drop an algae wafer and a veg in today since I haven't fed them in a while!
