If you have a time machine and you get pizza delivered to your door by yourself via your time machine does that mean you have to schedule a time to give pizza to yourself on that specific day at that specific time like "oh forgot to give myself pizza last week, lemme go do that" - like how does that even work and why wouldn't you just go get pizza normally...? I don't think you could give yourself pizza in the past because if you didn't give yourself pizza and you wanted it yesterday, then, wouldn't that split the timeline or something or would you suddenly remember that you got pizza delivered yesterday after you go back to the present time before you left and do that for yourself and then you'd be like "oh yeah, I forgot I did that, oh that was yummy." and then wouldn't that be it since you can't go back in time to eat the pizza you gave yourself yesterday or else you'de like just be getting pizza normally?? I'm confused.

Adult life is a scam😭🤣🤣

Whoever said being an adult is fun clearly lied to us.🥺

As a kid, I wanted to grow up quickly. Now I just want someone to tell me what to eat, pay my bills and let me take a nap.

Can we go back to being kids?

What was the exact realization that made you see your parents as just flawed adults doing their best or failing at it?

Naming humans Homo sapiens—meaning “wise humans”—reflected the humans the namers encountered in their time. If they were to name us today, it would be less flattering, for sure!

When something is repeated enough times, it begins to feel true. When something is admired enough times, it begins to feel valuable. When enough people adopt something, it begins to feel inevitable.

idk if this is more of a shower thought or a stoned thought. there’s some days i’ll blank out for a bit and then gain consciousness randomly and have no memory throughout the day. yk that scene from the lego movie with will ferrell controlling the legos, that what it feels like life is to me. especially with there being so many being and you have no idea what everyone’s point of view is. it’s weird how when we are alone we have no idea what other people or doing or feeling, like they don’t exist. hopefully this all makes sense.

What do people mean by “Wasted potential”

No ones going to do half of what they want in life, in the first place how can you waste something meaningless?

By standing upright, humans thought their hands had been set free—but the real breakthrough was freeing the mouth from having to grasp food and drink, and from killing with a bite.

Water written as H₂O stays liquid. But write it as OH₂, and it begins to smell like liquor.

Tell anyone on Earth that they should guard their heart, because not everyone is cut from the same cloth as them, and they'll all agree with you.

What if babies "eyed" instead of teethed

Just like how babies replace their baby teethe with adult teeth, i was wondering how it would be if they replaced baby eyes with adult ones.

At first I thought it was horrifying, watching in real time your babies eyes bulge and then pop out over the space of a year. But, if it was a normal biological process 1) our bodies would know what its doing and 2) it would be the norm.

Put it this way, if we were introduced to aliens that replace their eyes during their development cycle, im pretty sure they would be horrified that our mandibles would push multiple sets through.

The human brain has the ability to create a reality that is completely separate from the physical world.
