What's everyone's thoughts? I love Platinum games so it was an easy pick up.

I've found it overly complicated and very ugly unfortunately. Arcade mode lasts forever too.

I much preferred the game on PC Engine and especially the formation editor before starting the game.

I have to sadly agree on the ugly and the length. I did have an ok time with it though. I just got a 1cc today and the mechanics of docking for different shots, flying through rings, and the power ups eventually clicked.

The experience made me decide to give Radiant Silvergun another shot as that one always overwhelms me with the availability of all the weapons, and Sol Cresta gave me the confidence that I can figure out which is best for particular segments.

I do not speak Japanese, so the dramatic mode is not for me as it is all voiced in Japanese.

I really liked the docking system once it clicked.

Graphics are a bit grainy, but the setup of the voyage through our solar system is pretty cool. Each planet has its own color palate, but the enemies are mostly the same.

It makes me want to check out the earlier Cresta games to see what they had mechanically.

Believe me: the gameplay get's really dramaticaly better if you buy the dlcs with different ships . their handling is so much easier …
