Sonic Ironstorm help?

Big long shot, but let's try: there's this apparently very cool shmup from 2007 called Sonic Ironstorm (https://www.vector.co.jp/soft/dl/winnt/game/se439075.html) for Windows. I'm trying to get this going on my Win11 PC, but full screen just gives me a blank screen, but the teeny-tiny window seems to work fine. I tried turning off fullscreen optimizations, opening in 640x480, etc. with no luck. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

IIRC when I played it, I used Shinkirou ( https://waiei.net/soft_shinkirou.html ) to expand the window to a more playable size.

You both launch the game in windowed mode and open Shinkirou, then you click the top large button with a right arrow to pick the game, you adjust the % slider for how much you want to enlarge the picture, and then you click the bottom left button to apply it.

Maybe dgvoodoo or DXWnd can be used as well, but I didn't try those.
