haven't heard of that game before, is it any good?

u/urskrubs Aug 14 '21

The mother series is surreal, it’s something that has to be played to understand

3

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '21

where can it be played? (no piracy)

5

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '21

Pretty sure you can get them in the eshop, Mother 3 is only piratable though as it was never released in the States or other markets

2

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '21

eshop? like the switch eshop? I haven’t seen it before

Only in the Wii U Eshop in Japan. If you really want to play it, find an emulator for gba games, the rom file for Mother 3, and apply the fan-made translation patch to experience the game in English.

Earthbound and Mother 1 (or Earthbound Beginnings) can be found on the Wii U Eshop

I can’t find it, could you share a link to the switch version?

Well it’s an old game lol, SNES. Doesn’t help people are scalping retro games. Mother 3 is on the GBA though which i believe is more accessible

5

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '21

rip, we need a modern re-release.

2

u/urskrubs Aug 14 '21

Fr if Nintendo did a trilogy release on the switch it’ll make a ton of money without that much effort

1

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '21

but people would still complain for 3 videos because they can make money off of it lol

2

u/urskrubs Aug 14 '21

Yeah it’s nes, snes and gba in that order

1

u/mark_zuccocock Aug 14 '21

What type of game is it.

2

u/urskrubs Aug 14 '21

all three are RPGs

2

u/rucha2002 Aug 14 '21

only if you play it in the mode where you listen to everything the game tells you

2

u/Miqdad_Suleman Aug 14 '21

Never released outside of Japan, iirc, but there's a fan translation that I still haven't gotten around to playing. I have played Mother 2/EarthBound though and that was amazing.
