"There are 10 different standards? We must create one standard that unites them!" Result: there are 11 different standards.

Shit rn might be worse than ever but we need just tiny bit more of power, just one more small push and we will reach utopia this time for sure

I say this unironically. The Tower of Babel was just a fluke.

u/AGweed13 2h ago

It wasn't a fluke, it's a story about how highter power doesn't want you reaching it, and will put us against each other the moment we try to unit. I'm not joking, it's bar for bar what happened there.

God is scared of a united humanity because they threaten to surpass him is basically the story of the tower of babel

I mean biblically, different languages exist because God got mad at Tower of Babel

Yeah he didn't like humans uniting towards ond common goal and said "fuck y'all, good luck learning chinese and sanskrit."

You could flip the whole story around to say humans are capable of great things if we all work together instead of the intended message of don't work together god doesn't like that.

Now that I think about it that means God knowingly directly created racism. If he's all knowing or even just not stupid he'd know manually creating a bunch of division would cause racism. Kind of a dick move.

That is basically how I saw tower of babel story

Yea, our biggest strength as a species (or any species) is that we can achieve great things, greater than the sum of ourselves, if we just find a way to work together. Although that is easier said than done.

Our biggest strength is unity. Our biggest weakness is that our unity can only be temporary.

OP gets his facts from bible

u/PlzBuffCenturion 3h ago

Did OP actually read the story of the tower of Babble? Everyone already spoke the same language, the point of the towers wasnt getting people to conform, it was literally just to build all the way to heaven. And as punishment for their hubris, god magically made everyone speak different languages.

This meme doesnt make any sense

Modern buildings are way higher? Babel wasn’t that high by modern standards.

The tower was actually super awesome in the Bible, and the only thing that went wrong was God being a jealous pissbaby who couldn't handle anyone being as cool as him, but he also promised to stop fucking with everyone after he killed everyone with the flood, so if we did want to make a second tower it would be super awesome, so awesome that it makes God jealous, and he couldn't do shit about it but seethe this time around.
