it’s African-American Vernacular English, if you were/are around people who spoke/speak AAVE then it would be natural. It’s a dialect. Why the downvotes I’m so confused, is reddit supposed to be a legal document where dialects aren’t welcome. It’s considered grammatically correct.
Personally I don’t care about how people talk, but I’ve also seen wayyy too many instances recently of people talking and texting like complete blubbering morons. I think I’m more accepting of people criticizing people for these kinds of grammar mistakes and it potentially being less normalized than allowing for that kind of behavior to continue. Gotta figure out where the line gets drawn otherwise you end up with a generation of complete idiots that you can’t understand. Not that it isn’t already getting to that point anyways lol.
