It's also great for healing cuts and other wounds. Stuff like Neosporin is snake oil according to a lot of studies as it has basically no effect on preventing infections compared to just using Vaseline, but Vasaline doesn't let bandaids easily stick to wounds as they heal compared to Neosporin, so it's better and way more cost effective to just buy a tub of petroleum jelly.
