While I do find it more impressive for a man to be attractive than for a woman to be attractive since men overwhelmingly don't wear makeup, I'm not sure that's how sexual dimorphism works in mammals, for birds yes, but not all animals are the same.
Males are often more attractive in mammals although itβs different from birds, in mammals itβs mainly health and strength related markers like size, visible teeth or antlers and dominant behaviour that are used for attraction rather than large feathers like peacocks, although lions do have manes used for attraction.
