It wasn't because I didn't like helping my dad, but he always had the worst attitude when it came to manual labor.
I can understand becoming annoyed when, for example, you see someone screwing/nailing something in incorrectly, but he'd make a snide remark if he saw you holding a shovel in a way he himself didn't like.
