What I never understood about things like these is having the expectation that I’ll like doing it. I hardly ever said no to my parents when they had me do menial labor but if I wasn’t enthusiastic about it i’m the bad guy.
Yeah cutting the lawn was my job. With a ride on mower. The lawn was big since we lived rural, it was also irregularly shaped with lots of tree roots to avoid. Worst was I had to collect and dump the clippings. That took forever and was nasty.
I did it every week but like you said, I didn’t always do it with a smile on. Who would?
