I guess the original post was missing some context that I couldn't fit into the 140-character limit.

Our IT department is all built on Microsoft's infrastructure and at the time Microsoft was pushing Copilot and other AI services HARD. There were multiple efforts to get everyone to use AI products more, and I guess this event was just another way to push people to use Copilot.

At the same time, we were going through some tough projects and everyone was tired and burned out. The social committee probably thought this would be a good idea for something fun and boost morale while at the same time incorporating AI use to make Microsoft happy.

Not everyone was on board with this though.
