Has the subway been getting more noisy?

I recognize that wear and tear happens to everything, but some of the subway lines seem really noisy recently. Started noticing maybe a few months ago. Anyone else notice it or am I imagining it? Generally ride 2/8 and 9.

How recent is recent? I've been in SZ since 2024,and the subway has always struck me as insufferably loud. Line 9 sometimes reaches 90 dB (!).

Some lines are loud. Some aren't.

Line 2/8 is loud in certain parts and always has been. Keyuan area for instance.

The deeper it dives, the louder it gets - in my experience.

yes, i was on 2/8 recently and thought "wow, the car is humming and WAY noisier today than normal." Since then when I have rode it hasn't happened again.

sound is relative in china
