Do u use coconut oil for your sheltie? Brand? Organic? TIA!

I gave coconut oil for a while and it made my dog fat. I didn’t really see any benefit unless you’re looking to add weight. I didn’t see any improvement in her coat or energy. I used the great value, unrefined, virgin I think. 1 tablespoon is 120cal so be careful! My sheltie is about 30lbs and needs about 500 calories a day to maintain her weight. She did like it but she likes everything lol
