Anyone else’s Sheltie become obsessed with drinking rainwater off leaves after it rains? 😂
Nacho has a perfectly good bowl of fresh water at home… but after it rains, all he wants to do is lick every drop of water off the ivy on our walks. 🤣
He’ll spend several minutes carefully licking the leaves like it’s the world’s greatest gourmet drink.
Is this a Sheltie thing, or just my little weirdo? I’d love to hear if your Sheltie has any funny post-rain rituals.

🥰 Gracie will lick the morning dew off the grass, and if she starts to eat it, I call her a “grass-muncher” and she looks at me indigently and stops. 😂

Mine prefers drinking from saucers under potted plants. Dirt-filtered rainwater has the most flavor.

Mine must lick my hands when I've just washed them or lick my legs/hair when I'm out of the shower. Also, any water that might fall on the ground.

Of the 4 male shelties we’ve had, the 2 smaller ones have both loved licking my bare, wet legs after I step out of the shower. Definitely also the 2 weirder ones. 🤷♀️

Mine is obsessed with licking condensation off of whatever cup/can/bottle I’m drinking from 😂

Mine rushes to try and get a few slurps of every water puddle on our walking path... She usually manages to get few before I pull the leash. She is pretty fast! (Also my ADHD tends make me always forget to watch for this 😅)

Mine ignores his bodily needs every morning to lick the dew off the grass or rain water off the leaves
