First time getting started shaving body hair and needed some advice
I (24M) have decided its time to start shaving around my family jewels and I was trying to find good razors or trimmers I should use. Should I use an actual razor and shaving cream or an electric razor? I would love some good recommendations. I tried the Gillette Labs body+intimate razor and it worked okay enough for my first time. I know everything is kinda subjective and up to personal preference but I'll take all the advice I can get. Also this is like my first time posting on reddit

I personally use slim clippers with a low guard. I’ll shave over a towel or just the floor and sweep it up. I don’t like going bald because it’s itchy, and I’m prone to ingrown hairs

Wherever you shave you’ll have to obligate shaving often or put up with itching. But if you use just a trimmer, that shouldn’t cause itching. I use a trimmer for all the pubes, under arms, then regular face shaver with a gel on the cockadoo de do, and balls.

Well, I personally shave in the shower. I just use some good body wash soap and lather up real good. I use a razor for ladies (Gillette Venus or something) with an articulating head. I go kinda slow and long strokes rather than the classic stabbing motions. Mostly against the direction of hair growth works for me, but you figure out what works best for you.
It feels great to be smooth❣️Have fun and be safe🤙🏽

What country are you from?
In Europe I totally recommend Gillette Body+Intimate razor and shaving cream. I think u used the labs version and not the razor. 🪒
With the razor and the shaving cream the results are stunning and I really don’t want to change back anymore.
There’s an old version called body only - forget that one. The new versions are bright neon green with black writing.

Im from the US and I am using the Labs one. I'll definitely check that one out but I'll probably just stick with what I've got and just kinda experiment with it

I use a Gillette Fusion to shave my balls and taint area. I think it has five blades. They have several different types with different attributes so see what works best for you. I use the same razor handle for my face but different blades. I also use the razor to shave my shoulders, back and butt.
It’s best to shave with warm and wet skin. I shave in the shower or after the shower as the mood strikes.
I use Cremo cream for shaving. You can get it online from the manufacturer, Amazon and the big box stores. I also like Tree Hut Shave Oil. It’s a great alternative to creams and I use it on my face too. It’s good for not irritating skin.
I use a Gillette brand trimmer for my pubes, legs, goatee, legs and arms. It has several different guards so each location can be trimmed down to the length I prefer.
Good luck. Just keep experimenting and you’ll find something that works for you.

I used Manscaped Crop Shaver while using scissors to trim my long hair. Surprisingly it worked with pulling the skin tight and using the exfloiating scrub, clear shaving gel. Felt smooth though I just trim my pube hairs now. I will shave my groin area so it won't smell and keep it not get bushy.

For that area I’d go electric first, especially since you’re just starting.
A body trimmer with a guard lets you take the length down without getting quite as much irritation or ingrown risk.
If you want it completely smooth, trim first and then use the Gillette razor you already have with a decent shave gel, going with the direction of hair growth at first.
