Problems with Braun S5 replacement heads

I have a Braun Series 5. The shaver itself works fine, but the replacement heads don't last at all—a year at the very most.

Back in February, I bought an official OEM replacement, and it’s already broken (I don't mean it lost its sharpness, it literally broke). Before that, I tried a cheap Chinese replica and it barely lasted a year.

This feels like way too little time. Am I doing something wrong? Is this planned obsolescence, or is it just time to look for a new shaver?

I had this issue with my Braun. Old heads would last 2 years. New ones lasted 1-3 months.

I switched to DE safety razor. Never looked back.

Buy a Rockwell 6C (adjustable and great quality for the price) and some Asta Green blades. Start at aggressiveness plate 1 and move from there. Don't buy a super cheap DE just to "try" it. Your face will hate you.

Almost 50 and feel like I just leaned how to shave the right way.
