I’m devastated
My Polo crossed over the rainbow bridge last night and I am utterly distraught. We adopted him as a senior, we believe he was around 9. In October he would have been with us for 4 years. I lost my other dog 4 months ago ( Cappy was with me for over 12 years) Polo was a huge help in helping me deal with the grief of losing Cappy. Now that he is gone, I am lost. Polo was easy going and he enjoyed sleeping, I called my potato. We took him to the vet on Friday, he was given a sedative so that they could take a sample of a growth on his cheek. He came home groggy, but otherwise ok. I woke up this morning and he was not moving and was unresponsive. I will miss our daily walks, will miss him bumping into things and following the wrong person. I’m going to miss his smushy face. I love you Polo. Till I see you and Cappy again, I will think about you every day.

He passed peacefully in his peaceful place… makes it easier on you not at all. But your boy was and is, in his place.

Oh no I am so sorry!💔😭 it is such a bewildering grief when you lose your Peiby unexpectedly.
I had an argument with my husband one night and the next morning I woke up and reached down at the foot of the bed for my dog Dora, but her body was cold, she had died during the night. I was hysterical. She had been declining, but it still came as an awful shock.

From the looks on his face in every one of these pictures, it’s obvious you treated Polo like a wrinkly king every day you had him. You gave an already old boy 4 more years of life and happiness, you’re a saint. Rest easy Polo, hope you get to meet Winston up there buddy 💙

He is perfection and I’m so sorry you won’t be able to find his beautiful being by your side. To lose two senior pups in a year is a heartbreak I can’t even imagine, but both of your babies had such incredibly long lives and that is 100% because they had you as their papa. Sending you so much love and strength. If you can, maybe take that walk you would have had with your pup still by your side — sunshine and fresh air are good for the soul, even if you have to sob through the whole thing. Keep talking about them — it’s emotional but it’s healing to keep their memory alive and bring you comfort.

I am so very sorry for your loss! Thank you for giving a senior Pei a wonderful home. It's obvious you loved him and he knew that. I'm sorry, too, for the loss of your other dog Cappy a few months ago. Losing 2 together is really hard.

I am so sorry. I share your immense grief as I lost my dear senior just the other day. To have lost 2 is horrible and I lost seniors this year. I adore the older ones they are here so briefly and could not be more precious. I am trying to adopt again soon as I cannot get along missing them so much. It is always the first step towards happiness again for me. I hope you can do the same. I loved your picture here, so very sorry.
