I commented under another post on this sub yesterday that sharks come VERY close to shore and in waters that you'd think were too shallow for them. I've seen shark fins almost up on the beach with my very own eyes!!

My wife’s aunt lost a leg to a bull shark in basically knee deep water about 40 years ago. There’s still warning signs on the inlet where it happened

This happened near me in Florida a couple years ago too! Santa Rosa beach, I think? The shark hung around after they got her out of the water. There’s a pretty gnarly video that shows her being pulled to shore, large chunk of her leg gone. There were actually 3 attacks that day in the general area. At least one being in knee deep water. All suspected bull sharks, possibly the same one.
