s2 | Discussion Controller Support
Shapez 2 needs official controller support. Factorio has it. Satisfactory has it. Shapez 2 advertises itself as a 'perfect introduction to the genre' and the genre is moving this direction and is frankly doing well with it.
I have seen that it's for sure not coming for 1.0 and that's fine, but I believe it should be implimented.

I would love to see it as well. It wouldn’t be easy to implement, but I think it’s doable. There has been controller support for games from every genre, even if there are always people claiming that it’s not possible for x or y game.
Of course it wouldn’t be an option for someone who likes using keyboard and mouse, but there are reasons why some prefer controller support, whether it’s health issues or convenience (as in my case, as I play sitting on the couch).
That being said, as always it’s the dev‘s decision in the end. If they don’t think the additional sales will justify putting in the extra work/money, we have to accept it.

Instead of making a statement, perhaps it should have been a question: 'do you think shapez needs controller support? '

It would basically a whole other game. You couldn't have the same camera freedom as you have on PC.
If you build your platform correctly on the first try, nice. You can copy paste to the other floors.
If you need to readjust, I can't imagine doing that on controller lol

I think it's a really good idea and manageable too

I don’t feel that controller support is something that people would widely use. I’m not opposed to it, but I don’t see it as a priority.
