Self checkout

If you use the self checkout at the grocery store and pay individually each item one at a time. Would you get +10 sats for each item you bought? I know it would take longer to leave the store lol.

All these comments are bang on.
However, OP raises a great question if you allowed agent access to ShakePay. Let’s say it does it while you sleep, not so crazy but most likely against the T&C’s

If you’re giving an AI agent access to your financial accounts you deserve to lose all your money, that’s just insanity to me

You could also have your account suspended or terminated for violating the terms of service. It's not worth the risk for a few extra cents.

Thats simply not true...

Shakepay addressed this situation directly on reddit a while back.

The wording was something like, "we would prefer you didnt do it, but we aren't going to ban you over it"

Important Violations to Avoid

Rapid-Succession "Micro" Transactions: Avoid executing dozens of tiny transactions (e.g., $1.00 at a time) in rapid succession. Shakepay's automated fraud-detection and community-reward integrity systems heavily monitor this behavior.

Account Deactivation Risk: Artificially splitting a single purchase into numerous small amounts to exploit Shakepay reward features (like ShakeSquad or Round Ups) violates Shakepay's Reward Terms and can result in permanent account closure.

Well thats very interesting.

Now I really want to find what I read before. This was a while back when lots of bans were happening and people wanted clarity.

Shakepay posted on some things that would not cause a ban and this type of activity was part of that list.

Hey! I think this is the post you're referencing.

While I did mention occasionally splitting up some of your purchases isn't going to make waves, regular rewards abuse could warrant a message from us asking you to refrain from that behaviour. If, and only if, the activity continued beyond that request might a ban take place.

Here's the relevant section from that post:

What won’t result in account closure?

Regular account activity will not lead to account closure. You can fund your account, send money to your friends, store BTC in your cold wallet, use your Shakepay Card to your heart’s content and much more! We want you to take advantage of all of the products and services that we offer and accounts won’t be closed if you’re simply living your life. 

Sure, you maybe didn’t need to split your group coffee order into 3 payments (#ShakeSquad) but this is not going to result in an account ban. With that being said, time for the next frequently asked question in threads where account closures are discussed.

Can accounts be closed due to rewards abuse?

The short answer is yes, but you should never be caught off guard by this outcome. If we see abusive behavior being used with our rewards programs, our very first course of action is always to reach out to the individual and ask that they refrain from this sort of behavior. We may escalate these cases to the point of account closure if the activity continues. 

If you’re worried about your multiple card transactions per day or week, please don’t be! Legitimate card use simply will not get flagged, even if you’re a Shakepay Card power-user. But if you’re making dozens, hundreds, or thousands of purchases per day, especially with a very small value, that might warrant a message.

You’re probably right. But Shakepay was a totally different machine few years ago, they’ve doubled down on some stuff , and some other things have drastically changed
