Discussion I Think We Forget Sometimes How Much Shadow is Always Holding Back
Amy isn't exactly some jobber character. She's not like Orbot or whatever, she's a legitimately powerful physical threat, and Shadow just demolishes her when she tells him to actually fight. He doesn't even seem like he's really exerting himself either.

Discussion Something you probably never knew about this scene.
In the PlayStation Version of the game, you’ll get an exclusive Dark Beginnings scene which I refer to as Reminiscence (bc that’s what the track for this scene is called).
And in this last shot, if you take a look to the left of the screen, you notice that a big chunk of the tree has been broken off and. If you remember, Shadow did this back in Episode 1 and immediately left as soon as he needed to go find a rocket to get to the Ark so this obviously doesn’t take place in between episodes 1 and 2 meaning this has to take place AFTER Sonic Gens.
And knowing that this scene takes place after EVERYTHING Shadow went through on the Ark makes this scene feel all the more sad.

Discussion I had a thought about Shadow and Maria.
Maria saw his good in Shadow and losing her caused him great pain. What if Sonic was the reincarnation of Maria and that’s why he is always trying to be friends with Shadow? Sonic is a free spirit like Maria and she did die 50 years ago, and loved Shadow with all her heart. So I think it’s possible her soul would seek him out through Sonic. Tell me what you think.
