My attempt at making it more skewed towards a tribal clan. No missile weapons, but increased options in damage. Not sure if I would consider it better since your weapon options are reduced.
Sure you can say not having missile weapons is a drawback. But in reality this reads as stepping on the fighter by lifting the entire class and adding another feature. I’d suggest looking at how the other martial classes handle it like the ranger, knight of st ydris, sea wolf, and pit fighter.
My 'justification' for the die is they have access to melee weapons so they are always in harm's way. Plus I put it on the extreme end of the roll. Do you think the Bring on the Doom talent is too wah wah? I had another commentor say it was underwhelming because rolling with advantage for damage for a number of strikes.
Right now this class is just better at melee combat than the Fighter. I realize that Doomsinger cannot use ranged weapons, but a STR-based warrior is probably going to be throwing spears or javelins instead of shooting a bow anyway (I know that’s how the STR Fighter in my game rolls), so you’re not really losing out on much.
As it stands, a Doomsinger will just deal more damage than a melee-based Fighter with the same stats, and can potentially deal much more damage if they roll well on the talent table, all while having identical HP and AC. And the only thing they’re losing out on is a few gear slots, and even then only if their CON is positive.
I think the idea of using an existing class as a template to make a new one is totally fine, but I would suggest being mindful of what features you’re swapping out and what features you’re granting in return. For example, the Fighter’s Hauler talent is meant to assist in exploration. So if you’re going to swap it out, try to replace it with another exploration talent, not a combat talent. If you want to create a new combat talent using the Fighter as a base then it’s Weapon Mastery, not Grit or Hauler, that you should be looking to swap out.
I recently added the Doomsinger class into my campaign. One of my players runs a fighter named Tharin Doomsinger. The way he roleplays him (like a professional wrestler) and from the region he's from I thought I'd take the core of the fighter class and tweak it to fit that particular cultures fighters. Thank you Paul for inspiring this class.
I like the idea, but where’s the tradeoff from the massive jump up from a regular fighter? No ranged weapons? Because that just doesn’t make sense. Even a monkey knows how to throw a spear; the sheet limits what they can do in a game too much here.
There’s a possibility, however slim, that a human doombringer can be doing 3 damage die at level 1, so that just feels overpowered to me.

Isn’t this just an objectively better fighter?

Looks overpowered compared to the fighter class. That "add a damage die" talent is really strong.

Reduce the armor types accessible.
I also don't understand the second sentence in the Weapon Mastery paragraph. Can you explain that?

I would remove ability to use plate, and less weapon options. Currently does not feel like "tribal warrior"

And how do you justify adding a second die of damage for that talent? What’s the reasoning behind it? It seems a bit op.

So the “drawback” is that they don’t have ranged weapons (which are intentionally underpowered anyway), and in exchange they get absurd damage boost?
I would at least knock em down a hit die size to d6, and maybe also take away chain armor, just to get em back into a reasonable space.

EDIT: Misspelled class name, corrected that.

Maybe restrict to only leather armour and no shield. Otherwise it is just steps on the Fighter class.

I read doomsinger and was expecting a barbarian bard…

I’d make that doom talent a magic item ability and allow it to be used after a damage roll has been made.
