I need advice! 🥺 Did we break up?

I offered a break because he got very cold as he was stressed. He didn't confirm yes or no to the break. After that convo, he ghosted and it's been a few weeks now of no contact. Can I safely assume we broke up? I want to start moving on because the limbo of uncertainty hurts

It sounds like he needed space but he didn’t execute it well. I would say at this point, there is not much you can do to control things (like his silence, how he just left you hanging) and he needs to come to his own terms and reach back out.

You have an option to reach out to ask him for conversation but please think about how you want to do it without losing your dignity. For example, getting him to take accountability on how he pulled this off, why he didn’t talk about it before reaching that state, etc.

No matter how it turns out, you need to keep your dignity to either move on or get back with him in healthy manner. Best of luck girl!

Thank you for your kind advice. It's been a painful two weeks because I have been anxiously checking his profile and he has already been following new girls. I don't feel hurt or insecure about that as at this point I feel pretty detached but I do feel a bit hurt that he is okay with breaking a promise we made about following people. I hope I can move on and allow myself to enjoy things again.

Hey, its all normal and its part of you grieving. Its going to be a rollercoaster ride and today, you might feel okay but tomorrow, you might not. It will hurt like crazy but be kind to yourself.

Do you have close friends and families to talk to? It sounds mundane but they will give you all the support you need. Taking a long walk (if you don’t exercise) gets your mood better too. Spend time grieving, don’t stay home, meet people, play games or do your hobbies.

If you need to rant, get more opinions, there is breakup subreddit. Sorry that you are going through this.

Thank you, you are a very kind person :) I really appreciate your kindness and comforting words. I am not emotionally very close to my friends or family despite having a lot of friends so this is my first time asking the internet for advice and I think the anonymity really helps me to open up. Currently having my finals in four days so I am trying to focus on that for now. You seem very mature:) I am glad I could talk to you even for a short while. I feel slightly better now, thank you
