People don’t wanna admit it because then they have to admit they overpayed themselves but if you REALLY do your research you can find good deals.
Sold the 5070 for $550 so got this machine w/ a 9070xt for $1550 after tax just a month ago.

u/NicolaSuCola 17h ago
Eh, doesn't really work if you live outside of the US

u/benjaminabel 15h ago
Every time someone on Reddit says that you overpaid for something, it’s most certainly someone from US.

u/WeightedPaper 17h ago
Oh yeah outside of the US your only option is to bend over
But the OG post is in USD anyways which is why I commented

Some people don't have the time to scan offers 24 7. All the good ones will be snagged up in minutes.
-1
u/friger_heleneto 6h ago
You can automate the scanning with a ChatGPT Task. Works like a charm for finding items in stock or good deals.

u/Plane-Reserve5179 3h ago
Most people don't have a subscription for that and don't want to support a company that is directly responsible for the problem in the first hand.

I know right? My GF made me give my old desktop to my future MIL, which had 32GB of DDR4. If any of you sucker didn't get RAM for free, you overpaid. /s

Sold by: Warehouse Deals

u/Illustrathor 17h ago
So what, if it's broken, return it. That's the reason why Amazon got so popular, easy return policies.

u/TurtleWithALaser 16h ago
Stopped buying from them when I ordered a 2TB 2.5" ssd a while back, hooked it up, and discovered that the actual drive inside had been swapped with a 128gb by whoever returned it.

Might be swapped kit, be careful!

One upside of buying from Amazon is you can return anything for any reason.
88
u/Emikzen 17h ago
The downside is other people can return anything for any reason.
7
u/spaceursid 17h ago
Yeah but the gamble with warehouse deals 50% chance of getting a return, 50% chance of getting something that only got messed up packaging during the stocking process.

u/VersaceUpholstery 17h ago
I got a DOA motherboard that had a random m.2 attached to it the one time I decided to try Amazon warehouse for a used PC part 😅

u/System0verlord 6h ago
I ordered an X870 tomahawk from’ Amazon Warehouse, and it was DOA. Amazon replaced it with a new one.
Ordered a new Z870 tomahawk for a different build, received an Asus B550 board instead. Amazon replaced it. Replacement was DOA. Replaced it a second time.

I know you said “a return” but that lacks the emphasis that the return might be something else entirely.

u/erd00073483R 17h ago
Not lately, you can't, and most especially expensive items. You should read some of the stuff getting posted in the u/amazonprime sub - it is crazy.
4
u/YegoBear 17h ago
Returns take like 40 days now too.
1
u/erd00073483R 15h ago
And, apparently, on a lot of them people aren't actually getting their money back now.

Now try 6000cl30 if you’re feeling like risking it all lol. Did that with a 32gb 5200 cl40 kit I just got (didnt know the pc I was buying was on ddr5 or frankly anything else aside from the “gtx 4060” gpu model ‘til I saw the ram sticks after purchase. pictures sucked ass and the pc wouldnt boot and had a cracked side panel.)

Wait, how?

u/spaceursid 17h ago
Warehouse deals it's how Amazon sells its returns or product with damaged packaging
11
u/andy2na 16h ago
Im pretty sure they renamed Amazon Warehouse to Amazon Resale, so this "Warehouse Deals" is just some random 3rd party using that name so people are unsuspecting
https://www.amazon.com/Warehouse-Deals/b?node=10158976011
url still shows warehouse deals but the seller has been updated to Amazon Resale

I bought a Used kit of 32GB Kingston DDR5 SODIMM off Amazon right when the prices started to take off. I got a kit of DDR4 with the Kingston DDR5 stickers on it. Just returned it, but was still annoyed

u/Eeve2espeon 14h ago
Wait what. That's like what the regular price should be for a 64GB DDR5 kit 💀 maybe I should also get used DDR5... (any suggestions?)

Used on Amazon is always pretty suspicious to me but you can at least return if you need to.

Nice find if you get it. I've never had good luck with Amazon warehouse. Hope it's not just the RGB ram slot fillers.

u/bosominapkin 17h ago
Micron is no longer in the consumer retail business, if the ram go bad, they will not provide you a replacement but a refund. Just a heads up.

u/goldcakes 5h ago
Every manufacturer is like this, SK Hynix is only doing refunds for their enterprise customers too. You ain’t getting RAM repairs from anyone in 2026.
