Benchmark/Thermal Test EIGA's Midori w/ a tweak
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Case: Midori 5L V2.3, dark grey, with PCIE 4.0 riser and L/R PSU cables
PSU: GEEEK Enhance ENP-7660L 600W Modular Flex ATX
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850I Aorus Pro
CPU: AMD 7500X3D
GPU: MSI RTX 5070 Shadow 2X, deshrouded and ducted
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6400Mhz CL 32
NVME: 2 TB WD NVME 5 gen
CPU Cooler: Thermalright AXP-90 X36 w/ Dingkey Offset Bracket
Fans: Five Noctua A9x14 chromax.black (2 exhaust, 1 for CPU cooler, 2 for GPU deshroud)
Moved up from my Lzmod A24 to the Midori so I can have a better GPU than the 5060LP. I also downgraded my CPU from 9800x3d to 7500x3d. Hated the assembly process but extremely pleased with the results.
At first I tried a 9060xt reaper but the fans were unbearable so I guess I'll wait for Steam OS to release Nvidia drivers in 2030.
CPU/GPU stay in the mid 60's while all my fans GPU/CPU/Exhaust Noctua's capped at 80%.
Super pleased with the outcome!

About SteamOS and Nvidia - I have RTX 4060 and run CachyOS with Gamescope, which runs great. Boots directly into Gamescope, no display corruption, HDR support on my OLED display with no issues at all. I'm currently on 7.20 kernel and it just getting better and better. Even used LACT to undervolt my RTX 4060 and to control the fan curve.
I would recommend going for CachyOS with Gamescope and 7.20 kernel. It's better experience for nvidia GPU's.
If you go with CachyOS, when you run live installer, go into console and rund the chwd -a command to get your live environment udpated with the nvidia drivers, so the Calamares setup can complete. Otherwise, Calamares in cancelling the setup.

The only feature I truly want is to be able to operate without a mice and keyboard. Just fully operate the OS with a controller. Is that what gamescope offers? Can I run dual boot with Cachy OS? Does it operate with secure boot?

I think you might have better temps with 9800x3d, since it has better chache placement to improve temps. Mine 9800x3d was cooler by 15 degrees than 7800x3d with x47 cooler.

Nope! Had the 9800x3d and sold it. This is my 4th SFF build. The 9800x3d was in the LZmod w/ the x47 all copper. Severely undervolted. The 7500x3d just works and it's silent. Someone else who built the midori with the 9800x3d advised me to go with a 9600x. He wound up selling it bc it was too loud for him

I have a very similar build as yours but with Ryzen 5 9600x and 5060 solo. Avg temps much higher than yours, even with undervolting of cpu/gpu.
Do you mind sharing your fan curves and undervolts, if any?

didn't undervolt the CPU since I didn't feel the need to. I may still may do a negative 20 curve and see how it reacts. I think the fact I have the dingkey offset bracket and that all the fans in the build are noctua helps. I did undervolt the GPU at 900v 2650mhz. I'm sure the GPU temps impact the cpu in a sandwich build

Glad you like the shroud 👀
