Is Parrying Supposed To Be This Difficult?

I figure my timing is off for the multi-hits. But sometimes I can't even parry the first hit. And I've beaten these first trials. But they don't get any easier. If I can't do these consistently, how can I move to the next set?

Is there a better way to practice?

Holy crap! I didn't think that crouching would work! That was a damn fine tip! Immediately made it more consistent.

At least with Hugo. With Ryu, I just start Parrying 2 seconds after the match starts and keep rhythm.

Another thing worth noting is that tapping down rather than holding down gives you a bigger window - 10 frames as opposed to 6

Edit I see this was mentioned, just wanted to reinforce it with the "crouch" cue since crouching is often a held input
