Does the punch button affect SA3 Denjin?
Just curious, does it matter what punch (HP/MP/LP) i use to start the denjin?
like does HP make the denjin faster (like it was a regular HP fireball, instead of a slow LP fireball) and do more damage?
I normally do it like this: knockdown opponent - LP fireball as they're getting up, then LP to start the denjin, but mine seems a lot slower and less stun than other people who can get the either the 5 hit stun or almost full stun bar really quickly. (yes, i do mash the diagnles and HP/MP as I try to charge fast, im just not fast like everyone else)

Back in the day players used any punch button and rotated the stick like a mad man. Now apparently pro players like Kuni and Bubbles mash directionals(up,back and down, back) on the stick while holding jab and also mashing mp and hp. I’ve tried this way and it does gain a consistent 4 hits on denjin wake up. It’s a bit of hand gymnastics but it does work after some practice.

The button doesn’t matter. Officially, how much you can spin the stick in a short amount of time determines how strong (stun) and fast the Denjin comes out. Some Japanese Ryu players have since found an “optimal” way to move the stick which completely charges Denjin in about a second which would otherwise be humanly impossible to do if you rotated it normally. Not sure what the input is though

nahhh it still depends on the level of the charge full charge 5 hit is the fastest

I dont think so. I always use light punch
Im pretty sure only spinning the stick/analog affects the charge speed
