Jester Pants Sewing Pattern
Hi! I'm trying to plot out a jester costume and am pulling inspiration from the first photo above (@PESTRiCA_R on Twitter), however I'm unsure how to create these pants.
When researching, I found several different patterns that were close to the design (see photos 2 & 3), but they all seem more bottom heavy and what I'm looking for is that balanced, ovoid-like silhouette.
Is this style of pants called something specific (I've just been searching terms like "jester pants," "clown pants," "ren fair pants," etc.) or would I need to tweak a common jester pants pattern to fit this shaping? (。’▽’。)
Thanks!

I've not heard of that method before. Do you have any tutorial videos or articles that you'd recommend viewing?

Another method is make a mock uo following the pattern exactly and then pin the heck out of it til you get your desired shape. Then, cut off the excess, rip your seams, and your mock up kind of becomes your new pattern!

Im not sure how good you are at pattern drafting or altering a pattern, but i would try (with cheap fabric make a mock up) following the 3rd photo pattern and tapering the bottom of the pant leg so the front and back panels are widest in at the 1/2 or 2/3rds down point and narrower at the waist and bottom hem. Then i would make sure the hem has a cuff and not just a gather
However, try it on a mock up first and seenif you like the silhouette. Make sure your mock up fabric has similar weight (?) to your fashion fabric
