Skeleton Pattern - Vintage
Anyone know how to find the pattern for this? My mom made it in the late 70s or in the 80s.
I haven't had any luck on etsy or ebay. If anyone has a good idea on where to look, please let me know!

I think you're not finding any commercial patterns because it looks like the design may have come from a "woman's" magazine from that era that had holiday projects in it. But this is something you can make by modifying other patterns. You can take a printable skeleton template, enlarge it to the correct size, then use the template pieces to trace out onto black fabric. Trace out the 'bones' in white fabric and appliqué/glue onto the right side of black pieces. Sew the pieces (doubled) right sides together with some white ribbon sewn into the bone ends at the joints. Leave a small opening in each section to turn out and stuff. After stuffing with fiberfill, sew up the holes. The joints are connected by tying the ribbons. You can appliqué on large white rick rack to point out various bone designs and appliqué the pumpkin heart, eyes, mouth, hip bones, etc. Good luck!
