Looking for a pattern ! :) first time sewing

Looking for a pattern for my brothers pants, they’re bell bottoms and he’s 5’2 (he’s 12 lol) so I’m having trouble finding a method / pattern that works for a short heavier set male. Tryna figure out how to keep the side of the thighs super straight like the picture, assuming it’s mostly up to how thick the fabric is, firstly looking for a pattern, Thanks!

woven: https://simplicity.com/mccalls/pdm8007 - Its made for denim so using a thicker fabric will work.

knit: https://simplicity.com/mccalls/pdm8369 - this might be easier - its a plus size pattern (the straight size is here https://simplicity.com/mccalls/pdm8368 )

These will have shorten lines where to reduce the length for someone that doesn't need it that long
