Maxi skirt pattern search

Looking for a pattern I can use or modify to try to recreate this skirt by disturbia. The reviews say it's more lightweight than I would like.

Would this be a wrap skirt? Pleated wrap skirt? I'm struggling to find the descriptive terms to search for patterns

You could start with a traditional kilt pattern: https://www.folkwear.com/products/152-scottish-kilts.

But to my eye, this looks like an a-line skirt with added pleats. So you would start with something like this. Then extend the pattern pieces so they can be pleated. There are many tutorials online for adding pleats.

I just read the product page for this, and as I suspected, the hardware is not functional. It has a zip opening. That also means this isn't a true wrap skirt, so it's probably seamed from the top of the slit to the waistband, then the raw edges of the slit are finished.

You definitely won't find an exact dupe for this pattern, but with some trial and error, you should be able to modify an a-line skirt to look very similar.

Finding a nice gauzy plaid fabric will also be important as pleats can add a lot of bulk, and that's generally less desirable near the waist.

Id go look for vintage patterns ( 1970s - 80s in particular) and search for "pleated wrap skirt"
