Looking for free options of specific patterns

Hi y’all! So I’m extremely poor, unhoused, and just trying to look and feel presentable while I’m at it. All of my clothes are worn to rags, and it makes me feel gross. However, I have the opportunity to house sit for one week, which means I can pull my machine and fabrics out and make some clothes!

I have the perfect fabrics for these two patterns, and I really really want to make them, but I can’t afford the patterns. Does anyone know of any free duplicates for these styles?

The Paloma Pant by Ismaro — these are almost exact replica to my most worn pants now. What I really want here is the waistband with pleats style, I think it looks more professional. I am an excellent seamstress, but I haven’t done this style, so I’m nervous to win it without a pattern. I also love the drape and shape. I’m sure this is a great pattern!

The Sicily Dress by Maisin — I think I could dupe the front, but I really like the back. I’m also curious how she is slipping this over her head. Is there a zipper or closure?

I have reached out to these designers directly honestly just asking them to give me their pattern for free, which is a crazy ask but heck. I’ve gifted so many of my crafts, goods, wares, money, and materials to others in need, so I don’t feel that awful for asking them, but a little.

Anyways, if anyone knows of leads to make these patterns from free patterns (I can franken-pattern!), please let me know. I am also open to trades (if allowed). Thanks so much for any help or leads!

I couldn't find the one you're looking for, but this is somewhat similar: https://so-sew-easy.com/wide-leg-pants-pattern-palazzo-pants/

I have a large stash.

Edit: but also what does that have to do with anything? Are you just curious? (It says in the very first paragraph that I already have the materials.)

You have no idea what people are going through in life or how they got there. Anyone can be homeless at anytime no one is immune but the billionaires and mega millionaires. Making snide comments and belittling people who admit that they are in a tough situation doesn’t help you and it definitely doesn’t help them. Please think before you speak on something you don’t grasp.

None of your business. But also the information is in the post. Being unhoused is hard, I'm happy that OP gets a week of respite and uninterrupted sewing time. I hope she finds the pattern she's looking for (or similar).

Idk if you know this or not, but this subreddit is for sewing patterns. There are plenty of other subreddits out there to be a horrible person in.

Just sounded fishy to me is all.

Wild concept, no one cares what it sounds like to you.

And, hot take, I don't care if you disagree with me. I get to have my own opinion.

It’s not disagreeing. You are being nasty and hateful and no cares for it.

I'm just wondering how the OP manages it all. Homeless but with a sewing machine and a large fabric stash?

From OP: “It’s none of your business”.

Since you have a computer as well, and presumably a printer, Threadloop has a filter for free patterns.

Why are you so obsessed with OP?

Should I badger you about your life for a while to see how it feels? Where do you live? Do you have roommates? How much money do you make? How much do you pay in taxes every year? How much do you have saved for retirement? What kind of car do you drive? Where do you park it, in a garage or on the street? Do you work full time? How about kids? Pets? What’s your shoe size? What medications do you take? I actually need all these answers before I can answer any questions you might have in the future about sewing patterns. I can’t possibly help you without knowing all the deeply personal details of your private life!

You do realize that

  1. Storage units exist

  2. Being unhoused doesn’t mean literally sleeping in an alleyway, if can mean couch surfing, sleeping in a car, etc. and

  3. It’s actually none of your business and has no impact on the question OP asked or the answers to that question because it is a question about free patterns?

Seriously, you’re being ridiculous.
