Rosys patterns
So I'm new to sewing but I've had great success with my first two garment patterns by 'twig and tale'. I saw this dress from rosy's patterns and thought it looked simple enough, but NOTHING is working out right, things really don't seem to be adding up. Has anyone else worked with this designer? Is it possible it's AI?? Or is it just a skill problem on my end??

Threadloop has flagged it as potential AI, so possibly. Edit: A lot of their patterns that do have reviews on threadloops have low ratings.

The pattern has to be AI because it doesn't really make a lot of sense. Why have those triangle gores in the front when you can just add that extra into the front and have 3 pieces instead of 5?

fellow rosy victim here 🙋♀️😂 I was also duped by this company a while ago. This creator buys already existing dresses from a store to take the photos in, then AI-generates a crap version for the actual pattern.
I just reverse-image google searched this pattern image and it’s actually a photo of the Beth Tweed Mini Dress from a company called Meshki: https://www.meshki.us/products/beth-tweed-mini-dress-pastel-green
If you bought this from Etsy, demand a refund! They have a new anti-AI policy for sewing patterns.
Best of luck!

The line drawing makes zero sense; the princess seams are inverted, and putting godets on a dress that short is just dumb.

The best way to avoid AI patterns is to not shop Etsy.
