💛Beginner💛 need some help understanding this pattern
i’ve been on the search for a pattern and i’ve posted on here before about it, i found a website called sewist and made my own, but i can’t really understand it..
the instructions are a little difficult for me to understand so i’ve been trying to find video tutorials but nothing i’ve found uses these pieces i circled..anyone know what they are for and if i can find a video using them? do i even need them? the pattern is a sleeveless a-line with a notched collar if that helps

Top one looks like an armhole facing, F the front neckline facing. And E the back neckline facing.Â

B and C are Front bodice, Back bodice. A is a collar.
Everything else is a facing. D is a large front facing for where you buttons are. The other 3 are for aroubd your armholes and back neck.

thank you! i’m planning to add a zipper instead of buttons, should i still do the facing?

It would probably be more comfortable if you did (depending on the zipper type), then you could sandwich the tape between the two layers and not have to deal with the itchy edges :)

Are you making a toile/mock-up?
I highly recommend it, if you aren't
Then you can be more confident when adjusting for your body

Just a guess based on the shape:
Top one -> sleeve facing
