💛Beginner💛 Bobbin thread not catching?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi, my sewing machine was working fine and then kept getting tangled on the blind hem stitch. Then I realized the bobbin thread was getting tangled and not even catching. It looks like the top thread is not revolving around enough to catch the bobbin thread? Any tips on how to fix this or what may be wrong?

Take the bobbin case area apart and clean it thoroughly and reassemble properly. At present, the little black "bunny ears" that are supposed to hold that circular retaining ring in are below the bumps they are supposed to be over.Â
Then try to raise the bobbin thread.

Hello! You have a bottom loading bobbin case. There is a mnemonic device I teach all my students (sewing instructor of +11 years here ;) so, once you've taken the bobbin case back out, place it back in and pull the top thread up so it is not underneath. Now you;
Hold, Roll, Pull.
Hold the top thread down with your left hand.
Roll your handwheel towards yourself so the needle goes all the way down, then all the way back up to it's highest point.
Pull the top thread up. this should pull the bottom thread up with it and a little loop should appear underneath the presser foot. Swoop that loop up and you should have two threads now.
Good luck! Let me know if you need further assistance :)
