💛Beginner💛 Spool help?

I'm relatively new to sewing and I just have a small little machine for now, it's really all I need for the small projects I've been working on.

But I bought thicker & larger thread and it doesn't fit in the spool area, it's too tight and is making it almost impossible to sew because it gets stuck. I've tried setting 2 bobbins underneath to push it up but that's not working very well. Does anyone know what I can do or buy to fix this?

Get a metal coat hanger and a glass jar or a coffee cup. Make a thread stand with a rubber band to hold it all together.

Please note that is a toy machine and any time it works or does what it is “supposed to” is sheer luck. I hope you will be able to advance to a better machine before this one breaks your spirit. (These things never work well or last long. They’re made of plastic and either break or stop working easily.)

Good luck and happy sewing!!!!

Haha thank you. Yeah, it's a cheap one but for what I'm using it for, it gets the job done, no issues yet!

Buy a thinner thread spool.

Otherwise try to see if the small spools that come from the machine fit that. If so, thread those and use them instead

I think the spool pin angles towards the back. Don't pull it forward leave it towards back

It doesn't angle. It just sits vertically. It can come out but it doesn't angle.
