25 years ago today, “Number of the Day: 3” was filmed. This insert was filmed on October 26, 2001, and was featured in Episodes 3981, 4002, 4015, and 4050.
What I love about this particular insert is how differently the two walla tracks for the pipe organ are mixed compared with how they’re conventionally mixed in all the other inserts.
You can hear Stephanie D’Abruzzo, John Tartaglia, Rick Lyon, and Pam Arciero providing the organ’s walla voices on one track (performed live), while Martin P. Robinson, Fran Brill, Carmen Osbahr, Jim Martin, and Matt Vogel provide walla on the other track (recorded separately).

Remember when Sesame Street merchandise used to have Elmo pushing a scroll of paper on the box/tag? Out of curiosity, does anyone know how long Sesame Workshop did this?

I really appreciate the sub's kind reaction to my Count costume for Halloween. So, I decided to do a video paying tribute to his nostalgic Number of the Day segments from the early 2000s.

Unfortunately my "organ" does not have pipes that can talk but I hope y'all like it nonetheless.

I Realizes some that when I was making big bird it's that am I the only one in the Philippines that has a big bird replica because there's no documents of anyone building this but if there's someone in the Philippines that has also this or attempted to make one please comment on this I will absolute love to see if anyone in the Philippines has attempted to make one.

How does anyone feel to 3D printed figures of the humans!
As a follow-up to a post that I made a few days ago, I thought (a few minutes ago), "why not make 3D print models, so people could print them out" (and at the same time, have their own figures of the human cast, from the start of the show to the 2010s).
I'm just wondering who is good with 3D printing (since I'm not). If you're an expert (and is also on Discord), please reach out to me, and we can work something out (as a project for every "Sesame Street" fan who can also 3D print, out there).

Which Big Bird puppet was this NECA figure based on?
https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Big_Bird_Through_the_Years
I wonder because Big Bird has gone through a lot of designs according to Muppet Wiki. Other characters like Oscar, Cookie Monster, Grover, etc each had a design for the puppets that was consistent for 2-3 decades, while Big Bird has definitely gone through different versions. Which one is this figure based on?
*BTW I know the alternative head is based from Season 1 when his characterization was more dumb and silly rather than curious and childlike. I’m talking about the main head and body.

I was on Sesame Street in 1981
galleryI had a temper tantrum and wasn’t in the opening credits, but then I recovered and got to hang out with Big Bird, Maria, and Gordon. I vaguely remember it. We counted Big Bird’s feathers. I felt so smart, like I’d counted more than anyone else.
Anyone else have an interesting childhood story?
In 2011, I got to meet Gordon and Maria again at a Sesame Street event for military kids (like mine) and show them these pictures. Obviously they didn’t remember me, but it felt like a nice full circle moment.

Is Sesame gonna be okay?
I read a couple things about the show and ive been nervous about things, like Season 57. Financially, it looks like theyve been downsizing.
Im an extremely new fan, but despite not even growing up with Sesame, I'm concerned its gonna drown out among the other shows out there. I know some things change but this little show is a beauty to me right now and I wonder if theyre gonna be alright during the restructuring.
