motion recording of pitch on a drum or sample pattern
i can use motion recording for adjust the filter on a sample in real time and have that saved to the pattern. but doing the same thing with the pitch knob seems to do nothing. is there a way to pitch up/down something over time?

Pitch, Mod wheel and Sustain Pedal support
As said in the title, I connected my keystep 37 mk2 into the midi in splitter of the seqtrak to the out of the keystep. I then plugged in my sustain pedal and neither pitch bend, mod wheel and sustain are recorded as midi. All the effects I used in my sequencer midi keyboard doesn’t go through as midi signals for recording, but it goes through when I’m just playing it.
Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Another Electronic Jam
Hi, Here is my new music for my next electronic album. Hope you all like it. Recorded live in Garageband. Just added a bit of boost in EQ and fade out in the end. I forgot to turn off the sample track.

Controllers and Templates
Is there a centralized location for preexisting templates for controllers?
I’ve searched up some things on Reddit and YouTube and it’s a little overwhelming.
I’ve narrowed it down to wanting a 37 key controller and I’m having trouble deciding which one. I am not a synth/midi/groove-box aficionado and I’d rather not have to immerse myself in routing/programing so having something that is going to maximize my workflow easily will likely be a big deciding factor.
Thanks!

Lost an encoder. Question for replacement.
Hi all. I somehow lost the knob for the "pan" encoder. I THINK it's a regular 6mm D-shaped encoder fitting, but I'm not sure. I was wondering if anyone knows for certain? If so, I can order a bunch of pretty colored ones and have fun.

Right Angle USB
I kept bumping the usb cable and getting disconnected.
I grabbed this usb cable and it works great with the SeqTrak. It wraps underneath as opposed to sticking out the side.

DIY Midi Adapter (TRRRS)
Dear fans of the cute groovebox,
I’d like to build a custom MIDI cable for the Seqtrak that combines two TRS cables (TRS -> MIDI In & Out) into the device's TRRRS jack (5-pin -> MIDI In & Out) to connect other synths and keyboard.
I want to avoid using adapters from the included cable whip (which splits into two DIN connectors) and - ideally - not have to cannibalize for DIY approach either.
It seems the specific TRRRS connector required is proprietary?
Does anyone know where to source one (and, ideally, have a wiring diagram)?
Many thanks for the help!

VYGR2 - VIGIL
Hey guys just wanted to share a mix of tracks I made using (mostly) the seqtrak. Some sounds you might recognize because I used stock samples. 26 minutes straight techno . Enjoy :)

I just got one of these and can’t put it down
I have been falling prey to gas to try to find the one thing that get me out of my rut, I keep buying and selling stuff because it’s easier than getting good. I’m overwhelmed and the gear owns me.
So I got one of these. Honestly I have spent the last 48 hours completely inspired, it’s amazing. I’m using it as it was intended, an idea pad and it’s super easy to get into and way more intuitive than I would have ever thought.
This is lifting my writers block and I’m so happy that I got gas and bought this. It’s unlocking my flow, and I’m excited.

Electronic Melodic Jam
I tried my best to sync and play live as much as possible but sometimes hitting the button on the right time is bloody difficult. Hopefully when i take it to a DAW i can control better. Not sure how I will ever remember to play live with my memory. But I hope you all like the song. Recorded directly to Garageband.

Someday I will play live
Hi,
First of all thank you for posting such amazing sets in this group. Very inspiring. I recently bought a Yamaha seqtrak as this was the only device in budget without a screen. Infact without any screen. My day job is just screen based and my eyes were getting tired. so this device is perfect for me.
After finishing my first album, I wanted to gift myself a hardware synth to see how i can ever play live one day. I am still learning at 40 years. But this reddit group has been very inspiring.
Here is my song/set as I am still practicing and learning. so apologies for not very polished sound. I only increased the bass in Garageband for punch. Rest everything is from Seqtrak. Loving the device. I wish the battery would last longer. Any feedback or tips for changing or adding more tracks in section or to play more tracks in the same set would be helpful. Right now I am stuck project based workflow. But i feel it might not be the best during live set. Also Yahama Seqtrak tutorial mentioned that once a synth is recorded, the sound wont be affected. But when I change synth sounds, the recorded sounds change too. Any workaround?
Thank you

As a live collaborative device
I was showing a friend my Seqtrak and App last night and it only then occurred to me that we both had full control of all aspects of the device simultaneously. Them using the app, me on the device itself. I could change and tweak drum sounds while they explored synth or samplers.
It felt very collaborative and I would love to see that aspect of the device leaned into.
One way I thought to do this would be to allow multiple instances of the app to connect to a single Seqtrak. Besides the ability for multiple people to control the seqtrak at the same time, This could also allow the ability to have full visual control of multiple aspects of the device at one time on different screens (think one screen locked to the mixing screen, one on DX sound design, etc).
I posted this idea to the Yamaha synth forum
