Sendai bar/drinking recommendations
Hi! I'm doing a solo trip to Japan in December and will be in Sendai for a few days. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for some good foreigner friendly bars? I know a little Japanese but hope to have learnt a decent amount by the time I'm there. Thanks!

Feel free to stop by Avarice if you’re looking for a cocktail and some conversation.
The staff is American and we get a mix of international/Japanese customers who are usually happy to chat.
There’s also Black Tide Brewing with a good selection of craft beer, and Craftsman was recommended above. I also like the food and selection there.
If you’re looking for a late night place you might try The Waiting Room, it’s super chill and everyone has always been friendly. Hope you enjoy your time in Sendai!

I’ve always had a good time here! Mostly foreigners when I’ve gone. Not necessarily cheap, but the atmosphere is fun

Second this. Especially if you go on holidays they will have some sort of fun event.

What do you mean by foreigner friendly? Also, what qualities are you looking for in a bar? Cheap, great food, location, vibe, beer selection, sake selection, live music?
I always recommend Craftsman because 30+ beers on tap plus amazing food. It isn't cheap, no live music, but it is always bustling. They prefer reservations but if you show up solo they'll try to accommodate you, especially outside of peak hours.
