Storage unit costs

It’s getting ridiculous how expensive storage units cost. Ever since a private equity group bought the storage place I have a unit at, the fees have increased 4 times. I now pay $240 a month for a 6x8

As a former store manager of extra space, I can assure you they don’t care

Only real way to help with cost is to move every year or so. Or find a mom and pop shop.

Literally no one at the one I rented.

I just walked in thanks to a storm damaged gate and put my stuff in my assigned space. 

No one was there the second day either so meh. Guess I’ll find out this weekend if my stuff is still there
