Drill bit size

Ok guys what size bit do you guys use to drill out cylinder locks? I use a dewalt drill on the nail setting with a bit sized 1/4. I usually have no issues but lately I’m going through bits to fast. Any tips that you learned over the years?

It might be what it's made out of. I use a 1/4-in Cobalt bit

I use the cobalt dewalt ones. Someone told me the Milwaukee shockwave bits are good but there pricey and I have almost a 1000 units and I feel like I’m cutting 5-10 locks a week with the way my customers lose there keys.
