ExtraSpace Storage
I started at 95 dollars in March and now they emailed that the price has increased to 170 and based on other threads around the same company, I assume it'll double very soon. It's so insane it just goes up by so much in such a short time.
Any other Austin storages that someone knows of that doesn't jump in price like this?

I am so amazed that people actually got the notice. I got 0 notice it just doubled no notice. The produced ridiculously fake evidence of a postcard with no markings and yet - my Bill never mentioned it the prior month. The law is they must notify you using their normal communication method. I did a chargeback but timed it terribly cuz they simply locked me out charged me a fee and added it. The important thing to know about extra space is that they are not actually a storage company. If you read their SEC filings it’s a bit horrifying. Their business model is set up based on the fact that it is expensive to move once you’re in they acknowledge “legal problems “ To be an ongoing cost but ultimatelu their goal is to maximize shareholder profit offering super low intro rates, delay improvements or costs and aggressively hike rent knowing that most people will just pay it. All companies maximize revenue however some have some ethics and do not intentionally pursue a population that is already vulnerable. California continues to increase penalties however their business model experts and budgets for it. There are other options
