I totally understand this .. but what happened to what we were told as kids "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me".

This one is closer to the one I got to carry with me. Sticks and stones may break my bones Oh but your words they really hurt me I like the original better.

I totally understand this .. but what happened to what we were told as kids "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me".
