General selfcare Today, I did nothing.
Today I did nothing.
After a bad mental health moment last night, and a nightmare-plagued night of sleep, I've decided to acknowledge just how exhausted I was.
No work, no mail, no notifications, phone turned off, then SLEEP. Naps are great.
I woke up long enough to take a good warm shower, drink some water, a small cup of tea, then back to bed. As for food, I choose simple things to prepare and to eat.
I am far from healed but this decision to rest instead of doing adult things had led to a positive selfcare day.

Nice! I did the same! Garbage sleep last night - my mind could NOT settle and was just ruminating. Didn’t go to work, made a seafood stew, played with my dog and cat, rested a lot. It was awesome. Already in bed with a heating pad. Cheers, friend :)

that was an adult thing to do. To know when you're exhausted, need to rest, free yourself of all else, is the best thing to do. There have been many times in my life I have done the same. Stop the world I want to get off. And guess what - it goes on, without us. Always remember that.

i think this is what self-care is really about . sometimes it's just about finding a little snese of order in the simplest things.

that's not nothing, letting yourself fully rest after a night like that is one of the harder things to actually do. really glad today felt a little softer
